THE BATTLE RAGES

We are not in a good place.
Our institutions have failed us.
Our leaders have failed us.
Our teachers have failed us.
Our bosses and managers have failed us.
It seems that even our entire society has failed us at every single step.
What was once preached and drilled into our minds has failed to be anything more than the knowledge contained in a fortune cookie. The paved paths of the previous generations have been eroded. The inner desire to forge our own path through the dark wood of life has been silenced by critics and inner doubts, bolstered by our peers.
It seems that everywhere you go looks like everywhere you have been. Every one you meet is just faking it until their next milestone, their next social media update, their next paycheck. Everyone wants the same, thinks the same, and is the same.
On and on into oblivion.
Collectively, everyone is putting off the battle that needs to be waged.
The responsibility of the fight, the conflict that must not be avoided, the charge that needs to be led for real change, both professional and personal, to take place.
Not on the battlefield.
But inside, within your mind and your soul.
The battle for the future that you desire.
A future free of fear, where you can confidently face every crisis that is inevitably bound to rear its ugly head.
A future of choice, where you can confidently tackle whatever self-chosen task awaits.
A future of uniqueness, where you forge your own path rather than following in the footsteps of the multitude.
A future that you can uniquely call your own.
This future is possible. It is achievable. However, it does not come easy.
It won’t be easy to the lazy.
It won’t be easy to the fearful.
It won’t be easy for the distracted.
It won’t be easy to the one who is filled with excuses.
It won’t be easy for those who are incapable of making their own choices and thus have their choices made for them.
Ultimately, it comes down to you.
How bad do you want it?
How hard will you fight?
Because you will have to fight, make no mistake about it.
