MANIFESTING TO NOWHERE
“There are a great many opinions in this world, and a good half of them are professed by people who have never been in trouble.”-Anton Chekhov
The secret is out. If you think good thoughts, and truly believe in wanting something, it will appear. You manifest your desires and thoughts into something tangible.
The process, known as manifesting, is quite popular.
But so are the Avengers. And you don’t see your neighbors fighting the Infinity War.
Despite this, everyone is manifesting something. Better yet, if you just manifest long enough, hard enough, and if you are fortunate, your manifestations will come to pass.
But about the everyone else? Surely, if manifestation works for you, it can work for them.
Right?
The condemned man on death row is manifesting freedom.
The refugee is manifesting for home.
The starving is manifesting for food.
The sick are manifesting health.
The poor are manifesting riches.
The lonely is manifesting for companionship.
The entrepreneur is manifesting for investors.
The artist is manifesting acceptance.
It becomes overwhelming.
What are the rules?
Does manifestation only work for specific thoughts?
Does my manifesting ability depend on circumstances? On birth? On my ability to properly manifest?
Does it require a class? A certification?
Or is it just the result of foolish hope and the collapse of common sense?
People have lost the ability to reason as well as the courage to act. Rather than focusing on a goal that they can dedicate themselves to achieving via hard work and an iron will, they cast aside their potential and strengths in order to manifest their results.
This is foolish.
“Stupidity is knowing the truth, seeing the truth but still believing the lies. And that is more infectious than any other disease.”-Richard Feynman
You have everything you need.
What else do you require that the internet can’t provide?
Knowledge is available, provided you have the ability to learn.
Contacts are available, provided you have the courage to connect.
Ideas are available, provided you can sift through them until you land upon something that clicks.
Resources are available, most of them freemium.
Everything is here, waiting for you.
What you are manifesting can be yours. Not through foolish thoughts and weak hopes, but through hard work and strife.
Through the struggle.
Through taking a chance on yourself and taking action.
Now.
Today.
“Wise people are in want of nothing, and yet need many things. On the other hand, nothing is needed by fools, for they do not understand how to use anything, but are in want of everything.”-Chrysippus
ACCEPT REALITY
“The great periods of our life occur when we gain the courage to rechristen what is bad about us as what is best.”-Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil
People have a habit of fleeing reality.
And why not?
Reality is the truth. The truth is a cold, hard, and unforgiving fact.
The reality is that we aren’t the most beautiful, talented, richest, or skilled.
And that is a hard pill to swallow.
But fantasy is lovely.
Fantasy is bliss.
Fantasy doesn’t require sacrifice or toil or blood, sweat, and tears.
You can be anything you want in your fantasy.
But if you want to make your fantasy a reality, you will need to work at it. It only becomes reality through hard work.
Through taking chances.
Through setbacks.
Through grit.
It isn’t about manifesting your desires. It isn’t about the chase for material goods or the appearance of success.
All of that is meaningless.
It is about accepting reality, playing the hand you are dealt, and doing your best with what you have.
It is about overcoming obstacles.
Overcoming yourself.
And becoming who you are meant to be.

“Some people think they can find satisfaction in good food, fine clothes, lively music, and sexual pleasure. However, when they have all these things, they are not satisfied. They realize happiness is not simply having their material needs met. Thus, society has set up a system of rewards that go beyond material goods. These include titles, social recognition, status, and political power, all wrapped up in a package called self-fulfillment. Attracted by these prizes and goaded on by social pressure, people spend their short lives tiring body and mind to chase after these goals. Perhaps this gives them the feeling that they have achieved something in their lives, but in reality they have sacrificed a lot in life. They can no longer see, hear, act, feel, or think from their hearts. Everything they do is dictated by whether it can get them social gains. In the end, they've spent their lives following other people's demands and never lived a life of their own. How different is this from the life of a slave or a prisoner?”― Liezi, Lieh-tzu: A Taoist Guide to Practical Living
