I cannot fathom why anybody who wants to avoid mediocrity would use AI to write. Well, maybe I answered my own question. Maybe it’s a tool for quantity, like you might find in a cupcake factory.
And quantity has become a dominant goal for some people. Along with the good enough approach.
AI cannot do what some people, including myself, do. Maybe someday, I don’t know, but it seems to be wired to consolidate all the writing in the world, distill it down to the middle of the bell curve, and stamp out those cupcakes as fast as possible to a hungry world.
People want easy lives and instead of challenging their minds to write and create, the machine can do it much faster and easier. I personally need to write and create. It can't be outsourced without leaving an emptiness behind.
